Un bolígrafo de marca Pilot, en concreto el modelo G-1 se coloca en el borde de una mesa, encima de un vaso, o en la mano de un espectador. El mago puede entonces alejarse unos metros. Tras concentrarse y hacer creer que está realizando un elevado esfuerzo mental, ¡el bolígrafo se mueve lentamente y finalmente se cae!. Un espectador puede entonces cogerlo directamente y comprobar que es normal y pinta. Incluso se puede utilizarse para el resto del espectáculo.
